For these four powerhouse women, this moment is bigger than just a TV appearance—it’s a full-circle journey that started during the pandemic when they first launched The Mama’s Den. What began as a safe space for Black moms to have honest, unfiltered conversations about motherhood has blossomed into a powerful platform on a national stage. The podcast covers everything from gentle parenting and co-parenting to self-care, marriage, and the realities of raising Black children in today’s world. Through it all, the hosts keep it real—sharing their struggles, their joys, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
From cozy sleepovers and Brooklyn meetups to being surrounded by family and friends who showed up for them in a big way, the Mamas took time to reflect on just how far they’ve come. Let’s talk about that moment before they walked onto the Tamron Hall stage. Codie painted the picture perfectly on the latest episode of The Mama’s Den:
“The four of us planned our outfits, had makeup done, hair done. We’re standing behind these double doors that they’re about to pull open for us. You’ll see this on Friday, when you watch the episode. We’re standing back there and we’re just trying to live and be cute. And Melanie’s like, ‘let’s hold hands.’ We didn’t know when that door was gonna open. Let’s be in this moment. This is so special.”
Whew, the sisterhood! And Melanie reminded them all to soak it in:
“Sometimes we get so caught up in the prep for it that we forget to take the moment of presence.”
The new episode of The Mama’s Den, where the hosts spill all the tea about their NYC adventure, is available to stream now on all podcast platforms. You can also watch it on Black Love’s YouTube channel.
And don’t forget to catch them on Tamron Hall this Friday, March 14! You know they’re bringing all the love, wisdom, and hilarious realness that we adore. Trust us—you won’t want to miss it!
