The excitement was palpable as Melanie, Felicia, Ashley, and Codie arrived at the studio on their first day of filming on Tuesday, February 20, with the mamas exchanging hugs and laughs while enjoying treats from DK’s Donuts. Little did the mamas know, they were in for a grand reveal of the new “Mama’s Den” set.

The hosts were delighted after stepping onto the new set and the carefully chosen color palette and cozy furnishings seemed to resonate with Melanie, Codie, Ashley, and Felicia immediately. “This is great! Look how comfy we are! I love it,” Melanie said, taking in the sight of plush chairs, vibrant throw pillows, and tasteful artwork that adorned the walls.

Felicia couldn’t contain her excitement as she walked around the set, running her fingers over the carefully selected textures and nodding in approval. “Oh, this looks so good! This is very cozy,” she remarked.
Ashley marveled at the thoughtful touches and houseplants scattered throughout the set and Codie Elaine Oliver, the visionary behind “The Mama’s Den,” was visibly delighted by her co-hosts reaction. “It’s the shock and awe, for me,” Oliver added. From the vintage-inspired furnishings to the personalized “The Mama’s Den” merch, every element spoke to the hosts’ personalities and the essence of their podcast.
The Black Love team took great care in curating the aesthetics of the new set, sourcing furniture and decor from various shops across Los Angeles. The goal was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflected the spirit of “The Mama’s Den.” We paid attention to detail, ensuring that each piece complemented the overall theme and vibe of the podcast.
