“The Mama’s Den” Podcast Jumps From Audio to Video With YouTube Episodes

The Mama’s Den hosts Codie Elaine Oliver, Melanie Fiona, Felicia LaTour and Ashley Chea

Calling all “Mama’s Den” fans!

The celebrated Black Love podcast is back in a whole new way. Episodes from “The Mama’s Den” are now available to watch on Black Love’s YouTube channel. Join the host mamas Melanie Fiona, Felicia LaTour, Ashley Chea, and Codie Elaine Oliver as they dive into motherhood, race, sexuality, health, religion, and dating. No topic is off-limits!

Here at “The Mama’s Den,” we believe in authentic conversations and experiences from a mama’s perspective, and the power of honest discussions. In one of the most recent episodes, titled, “Going International…Without the Kids,” host Felicia chats about her inspiring trip to Thailand and the revelations she had during her time away.

The mamas also delve into their perspectives on letting their partners take on responsibilities, the role of spirituality within their families, and the guilt they sometimes feel when away from their children. Although they have varying viewpoints, the hosts all agree that it’s essential for every mama to make time for herself and her partner – or potential partner – without the presence of children.

In another episode, titled “Life and Friendships Are Marathons,” things get a little emotional between the mamas. Codie, Ashley and Melanie chat about the dynamics of adult friendships, self awareness (and a little discussion about half-marathons). During their talk, Ashley and Codie work through a conflict in their own friendship and shed a few tears along the way. While each of them has different perspectives and experiences, all the hosts agree that it’s important to stay true to yourself and believe you can accomplish whatever it is you set your mind to.
