Keke “Keep-a-Bag” Palmer is now a mama! The self-proclaimed “Millennial Diva” shocked many of her fans when she announced she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend Darius Jackson while hosting Saturday Night Live back in December. The “Nope” star stayed pretty quiet about her pregnancy up until that point, but since then, she’s been open about her pregnancy and now motherhood journey. Darius saw the pregnancy test Keke threw away and gave her the news while she was at dinner a few hours later. He told the “Lightyear” star on the phone, “Well, you better get to be drinking water in your sight. Cause I’m buying 10 of these things right now. You take them all when you get home.”

Keke took to social media and gave us some insight on how pregnancy has taught her to embrace and prioritise rest. She posted a couple of pregnancy photos on Instagram from her baby moon with her boyfriend and wrote in the caption: “ i’m really proud of myself for resting this trip. i am antsy by nature. i love having a schedule, even on vacation. i learned to at least schedule things leisurely so i have something to complete that’s on brand with the theme of the season. which is, rest. i will refrain from saying “soft girl life” or whatever new label the folks are using 😆🥴. && instead i’ll just say that for me the theme is rest because, i can.”

Keke continued and wrote, “this season i am going to learn how to really take it easy. how to go slow(or slower than i have which is speedy for the average ♍️💁🏾♀️- 🤣) because it definitely doesn’t mean my drive and passion will end, just transform and evolve through a different tool. how will channelling my skill through this pov make me sharper?”

When She Shared Her First 48 Hours of Being a Mom
Ms. Keke Palmer has been keeping us updated on her new mom life. She posted the first 48 hours of parenting in the series of photos below. She gave birth to her first child last February. Keke wrote, “ Born during Black History Month, with a name to match 😄!LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”

Palmer also shared a little bit of her love story with Darius by writing, “Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, “Someone” by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!”
When Keke Gave Single Parents Their Flowers for Being Superheroes
Keke is a very new mom, and she’s already seen just how important it is to have a village of people to help raise a child. She took to Instagram to praise single parents for all the hard work they do. Palmer said, “I just came on here to say if you are a single parent pull out your cape. As a matter of fact, unclip your angel wings because I don’t know how else you did it.”

She goes on to say, “I know there’s a million and one reasons why somebody wants to become a single parent or has become a single parent. Maybe they lost somebody. Maybe they don’t want to deal with somebody. Maybe it’s a choice. But when it comes to raising a kid, I’ve already learned in these short few days that it takes a village and sometimes that’s a privilege.”
Keke has been so transparent and honest with her motherhood journey so far. It’s refreshing to see her be so candid with her journey and we’re excited to continue to keep up with Keke.
