Dr. Charminae N. Barnes

Dr. Charminae N. Barnes, known as Dr. Char, is an expert at preparing expecting mothers for birth. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in biology from Grambling State University in 2005 and her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in 2009. After not seeing pregnant women receive the care that she knew they deserved, this badass beauty started her own company, Charms of Care, in 2013 to specifically prepare moms to have the most comfortable and enjoyable pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences possible. To do this effectively, she became certified in Webster Technique through the ICPA in 2013. She became a trained birth doula through CAPPA in 2014 and a certified childbirth educator through the Natural Way Birthing Project in 2015. This not only helped her to be a better practitioner, but it allowed women to have a healthier perinatal experience while redefining the perspective of birth and set a new standard.
