Vanessa Bell Calloway has earned eight NAACP Image Award nominations. She won the NAACP Theater Award for Best Actress for her role as Zora Neale Hurston in her one-woman critically-acclaimed play “Letters From Zora”. Some of Calloway’s film roles include: “South Side With You”, “Coming to America”, “What’s Love Got to Do With It”, “Biker Boyz”, “Love Don’t Cost A Thing”, “Daylight”, and “The Inkwell”. Soon she’ll be featured in “Dragged Across Concrete”, starring Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn; in the Universal Studios feature “Unbroken: Path To Redemption;” as well as an independent thriller entitled, Thriller. Calloway is currently starring in Bounce TV’s one-hour hit-drama “Saint & Sinners”,now in its third season, and she directed a few of the episodes as well. She’s recurring in “Love Is,” a new series for OWN that will premiere in June. Calloway’s other TV credits are many, including: “Survivors Remorse,” “Shameless,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Hawthorne RN,” “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” “The Closer,” “NCIS,” and “Castle”…just to name a few. Her stage credits are many as an actress and as a professional dancer.
