“Couch Conversations” is Back! What You Need to Know About Season 4

Couch Conversations hosts Kevin and Melissa Fredericks

Marriage shouldn’t be a journey that you go on alone. You need and deserve a marriage village to see you through the ups and downs of this next chapter of life. Couples that are vulnerable enough to share their lessons learned and let you know that you aren’t alone in your journey. “Couch Conversations” is our virtual marriage village, and we’re getting ready for the upcoming season!

In partnership with Target Black Beyond Measure, Black Love is beyond excited to announce that content super creators and influencer couple Kevin (KevOn Stage) & Melissa.

The Fredericks will be our hosts for Season 4, premiering on September 27th! So cozy up on the couch with us as The Fredricks discuss hot topics with other couples and bring all of the facts…and of course, laughs! Now let’s get into meeting the couples of Season 4. 

Kev & Melissa Fredericks 

Get ready for a season full of laughs and love with The Fredricks! Your season 4 hosts, Kev & Melissa Fredericks, are creatives, founders, authors, influencers, and successful stars in their own right. Kevin is an NAACP Image Award-nominated comedian, the founder of KevOnStage Studios, and a superstar on social media. Melissa is a Los Angeles-based influencer dedicated to helping women become the best versions of themselves through honesty, transparency, and vulnerability. Together, they are the founders of “The Love Hour,” a podcast that has been downloaded millions of times to date, and the authors of their first book, “Marriage Be Hard,” where they share 12 lessons to keep you laughing, loving, and learning with your partner. 

Alana & Anthony


Alana & Anthony have been together since they were 15 and got married at 18. Anthony went off to the Marine Corps right after graduation, and Alana was going into her senior year of HS engaged! Being married teenagers, who were also newly wed military spouses, this couple brings many lessons disguised as hardships to the table and are a daily inspiration for their social media followers on how to maintain a marriage no matter how old you are.

Jia & Elijah, on the surface are completely different, but their love for one another is solid. They’ve known each other since they were teenagers and have been best friends for over 12 years. Their journey to marriage wasn’t an easy one, but when they realized how sacred their bond was, there was no stopping The Mirandas!

Neasel & Clarence  


Neasel & Clarence met during senior year in high school, they’re actually each other’s first boyfriend and girlfriend! They dated off and on in college and got married at the age of 22 and 23. Now married for 17 years, they’ve literally watched each other grow up. The church has a big impact on their relationship, as Neasel is a PK (preacher’s kid) and grew up in the church, and Clarence is a full-time staff member at their current church. 

Lindsey & Aaron


Lindsey & Aaron met in church in 3rd grade. After dating in high school, they have been together ever since and got married at 27, and lost their firstborn son to stillbirth at 30. Despite the hard times, they came out beautifully on the other side with two sons and Lost our 1st born to stillbirth at 30. Went through hard times and came to other side with two beautiful boys and are working on Broadway in New York City in “The Lion King,” living their dreams!

Tanai & Wesley call themselves a one-night stand gone wrong lol (because they fell in love). After connecting during spring break at 21, they began as a long-distance couple, and eventually packed their bags to travel the world, and now work as full-time life coaches and healers with a toddler! 

Destiny & Devontae


Destiny & Devontae have been married for 9 years and are advocates for gentle parenting. Through their content creation on social media, they’re very open about their gentle parenting practices, relationship struggles, and how they overcame generational trauma.

Marisa & Terrell have known each other for 12 years and have been married for 6. They do everything together! As entrepreneurs and parents, they share how they balance it all with two toddlers, 9-5s, and still try to maintain a healthy relationship.

Shafondra & Glenn are college sweethearts. They’ve been married, divorced, and are now back together again! They have two children and in their own words, have done everything “completely out of order” as a couple.
