Father Noir is a visual memoir celebrating Black fatherhood during the month of June, created by Black Love founder and father of three boys, Tommy Oliver. Because we know how important it is to see Black love in the form of fatherhood, weโ€™ve selected this compilation of men who have worked to be role models and leaders professionally and at home and photographed them alongside their children, and in some cases, their own fathers.

Join us on a visual journey, going behind the scenes during the process of capturing Black joy, familial bonds, empathy shown between father and child, and hear the vulnerability shared by these dads, including Tommy Oliver, Chris Spencer, Wayne Brady, Neil Brown Jr., Melvin Gregg, Bill Bellamy, Warryn Campbell, and Jeff Friday.

Black fathers, we see you. We support you. We love you.

Photos are by both Erik Umphery and Tommy Oliver, and the video series is directed by Qasim Basir.
