Marty McDonald is Building a Network of Support for Black Women Entrepreneurs

Marty McDonald is a girl mom, founder, and CEO of the education and empowerment platform Boss Women Media, as well as children’s clothing brand Elle Olivia. With the desire to give a voice to Black and Brown women who found themselves in spaces and places that didn’t look like them (and the drive to create her own space after leaving a prestigious career), Boss Women Media was born.

The Boss Women Media platform was founded to give communities and brands a space to mobilize and, for those who want to do better, move beyond surface-level goals and advocate for and accomplish real change. She took an idea based on connection and turned it into a movement with a loyal community of more than 100,000 women. Marty’s plan is to continue to expand the growth of the community of women she is building and to help them empower one another through connection, networking, and workshops. She knows that most women are allowing fear to hold them back from accomplishing the goals they desperately want to achieve, so she is on a mission to connect with women who want more, women who have big goals and big dreams and are chasing them every single day.

What is Building Women for the Future?

Building Women for the Future is a three-city tour that will be popping up in Washington, D.C. on September 23rd, Dallas on September 30th, and Atlanta on October 7th. Each of these events will create opportunities for women to learn, lead, and leverage tools from brands that help make an impact in their community! Come on, community and connection, we love to see it.This will be an experience dedicated to women who want to learn about small business resources and to apply themselves by building, growing, and expanding their ideas and network.
