Black Love Celebrates the Launch of Freevee FAST Channel With Valentine’s Day Event

Kevin & Melissa Fredericks and Codie Elaine & Tommy Oliver at the Freevee FAST channel event

Black Love celebrated the launch of its free ad-supported television (FAST) channel on Amazon Prime and Freevee with an intimate Valentine’s Day dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 14th.

Hosted at South Los Angeles’ The Gathering Spot, the event shined a spotlight on Black Love’s original programming that is now available to watch on its FAST channel. Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks and his wife, Melissa “MrsKevOnStage” Fredericks, hosted the romance-themed event with Angel and Marcus Tanksley and “Black Love” Co-Creators Codie Elaine Oliver and Tommy Oliver in attendance.

Angelenos from across the city came out to support Black Love and enjoy the festivities, which included a four-course dinner provided by Chef Darrell Smith, specialty love themed-cocktails, and a live taping of Black Love’s acclaimed series “Couch Conversations.”

There was no better time than Valentine’s Day, the day of love, to recognize and toast to a new chapter in Black Love’s journey. The company’s new FAST channel will bring Black Love’s library and original programming dedicated to showcasing the diversity, beauty, and richness of Black love to new audiences, while also providing an additional destination for Black Love’s existing series. The channel will feature a variety of original productions that highlight a wide range of important topics, including self-love, mental health, family, partnerships, and financial wellness.

“We are thrilled to bring Black Love to a broader audience through our FAST Channel on Amazon Freevee,” said Codie Elaine Oliver. “This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission of amplifying Black love stories and fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities within these relationships. On Amazon Freevee, we will be able to reach a broader audience, connecting communities all through the universal language of love.”

The Black Love channel will also bring licensed content from friends of the brand. “Love Against the World,” a new documentary series created by New York Times-bestselling authors, actors, and podcast hosts Devale and Khadeen Ellis, will premiere in March. The channel will feature programming from KevOnStage Studios, owned by Kevin Fredericks. Black Love’s existing catalog, including all six seasons of the captivating docu-series “Black Love” and the popular digital series “Couch Conversations,” will also be available on Freevee.

Both “Black Love” and “Couch Conversations” delve into the challenges and triumphs experienced by Black couples, featuring candid and authentic discussions with Black celebrities, influencers, and entrepreneurs. Many of Black Love’s shows highlight meaningful subjects such as parenthood, as showcased in the “Moms with Coffee” series with TV personality, wife, and mom of three Lizzy Mathis. The importance of amplifying Black men’s voices is also seen in the “Men’s Round Table” series.
