Cadillac is sure to make an impact and captivate audiences at the 2024 American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach this summer at The Cadillac Lounge. The iconic car company is offering several noteworthy activations, conversations, and experiences that festival goers are guaranteed to enjoy. This year will mark 14 years of Cadillac as a proud sponsor of ABFF, and they’re celebrating their anniversary in style.
On Thursday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., ticket holders will be able to attend an inspirational breakfast conversation about pursuing — and achieving — your dreams with world traveler Jessica Nabongo at “Coffee & Cadillacs: Lights, Camera, Action!” Two hours later, a conversation entitled “The Art of Collecting: A Journey into Black Art” with the founders of Art Melanated, Sol Aponte and Jennia Fredrique Aponte, and Dawn Limerick, founder and president of The Greenwood Standard, is being offered.
The day ends with a live recording of media personality Demetria L. Lucas’ podcast, “Ratchet & Respectable,” with special guest Nabongo, and the “Cadillac Presents: Music in Motion,” a film score inspired experience celebrating Black Music in Film; featuring R&B soul singer KIRBY. Curated by Feel the SPACE and hosted by founder, Alex Tyree.
The fun doesn’t end there, however. Friday, June 14, offers even more ABFF festivities sponsored by Cadillac. While we can’t dish on everything just yet, we can share that Lucas will be hosting another live recording of her podcast with special guest “P-Valley” star Nicco Annan from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cadillac Presents: Music in Motion night two will feature Grammy award-winning artist Lucky Daye from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
