Sneak Peek: The Black Love Docuseries is BACK Fridays on OWN

The Black Love docuseries returns to OWN with all new episodes Friday, May 14th, at 10/9c. Heading into the 5th season of the four-time NAACP Image Award-nominated docuseries that consistently celebrates Black love through authentic stories dispelling stereotypes surrounding being Black and finding long-lasting partnership.

Tabitha and Chance Brown

This season is giving all of what you love about Black Love including some of your favorite couples: especially the ones we love to love, Tabitha and Chance Brown who have been married for 18 years, but without their share of moments they thought it might be over. Season 5 also welcomes singer/songwriter Tank and his wife Zena Foster who originally met working together then had an off and on relationship for over a decade. Grammy Award-winning songstress Ledisi and her husband photographer Ron Young share the surprising way they met and how they knew the other was their “one.” Divorce Court’s Judge Faith Jenkins and her husband R&B singer Kenny Lattimore married one week before going into a nationwide — almost year long — lockdown, and they’re joining Black Love this season sharing the wisdom they’ve gained as newlyweds in a pandemic. Stylist to the stars Jason Bolden and his celebrity interior designer husband Adair Curtis share some of their journey to parenthood and what love looks like to them after more than a decade of marriage. Meet these couples and many others in the new season.

Season 5, the couples are tackling subjects that get heavy such as infertility and grief, as well as finding love through online dating, discovering love after 30, blending families and the awkward conversations and huge lows that come with money problems in marriage.
