I refuse to let my joy be contingent on the availability of others so I’ve decided to do more things alone, like taking myself on a date this time to Tabitha Brown’s new restaurant Kale My Name. 

Thinking of getting dressed to WFH? When I look good, I feel good. Getting dressed helps me feel a sense of normalcy with the world looking very different.

We all know parenting is hard, especially during these times of remote learning. As I learned to prioritize myself, I became a better mom and a happier wife. I wasn’t as frustrated and tired while interacting with my family. 

Sisterhood among Black women often offers our most sacred and safest spaces. From supporting each other as we follow our dreams, to fixing each other’s crowns. In honor of sisterhood, we’re showing love to some of our favorite sister friends.

January is for possibilities. A time to make New Year’s resolutions and work on self-improvement. For most, their resolutions include living healthier, losing weight, reducing alcohol or smoking. For others, it’s a time to improve their romantic relationships.
